2022 Student Orientation Kicks Off On a High Note

When you get this opportunity, remember the people that did not get the same opportunity” These were the words uttered by Deputy Principal: Registrations, Mr TE Ntlangano in his opening remarks at the Student Orientation held at the Dutywa Campus Hall on Tuesday 1st February 2022.

Mr Ntlangano was addressing the students on behalf of College Principal, Ms Balfour who could not attend due to other work commitments. Deputy Principal, highlighted the importance of ensuring that the students finish the course within the designated time as the College is also Monitored and Evaluated by its throughput rate in terms of performance management. He further encouraged the students to focus on their studies and avoid getting caught up in social activities like partying and nightlife in general.

The new students were being welcomed and familiarised with College culture and environment. Some of the returning (old) students were also in attendance. The Campus staff were introduced by Campus Management Team and the different programmes were explained. Amongst those in attendance were: Student Support Services Manager whose role was explaining the student policies and repercussions thereof, he then further went on to tap into bursary opportunities and the processes involved; Research and Innovations Manager focused on encouraging the students to become entrepreneurs and joining the College Entrepreneurship Programme and College Nurse together with Higher Health Campus Health & Wellness Coordinator who focused on student health and wellness matters.
