The Untimely Death Of Mr Pakamisa Tuswa

24 Dec 2020

King Hintsa College learnt with great sadness the sad news of the passing on of College Marketing and Communications Manager Mr Pakamisa Tuswa on the early hours of Tuesday, 22nd December 2020. Mr Tuswa joined the college in 1990 as a lecturer who specialised in dressmaking and tailoring which were rare skills, he performed his duties very a diligently and excelled in designing at Teko Campus formerly known as (Teko Vocational School ). He was later promoted as a Marketing Manager due to his commitment, his dedication and passion for the development of the college.

Mr Tuswa was a member of the national communicators forum and represented the college well. He served as a coordinator of the Xhosa Royal House Development Forum which was comprised by members of the college and the members from the Royal House, he always represented the college and lifted its flag high and instilled the values of the college in the Royal House gatherings. He also participated immensely to the negotiations with Zazulwana community, Amazizi Tribal Authority for the donation of the land where the King Hintsa Administrative Centre is located.

Mr Tuswa was a strategic thinker, a visionary who was brilliant, innovative and creative. He generously shared his knowledge, his expertise, his skills. Mr Tuswa was passionate about the college development. He mentored many managers in various fields of work.

Mr Tuswa was the life and soul of many college gatherings, member of the Broad Management. He was guided by the college vision, mission, values and would uphold the college decisions. The college community has lost one of its elders, who had an institutional memory.

Sorrow fills our hearts this sad moment, a sorrow that is deep and personal. Mr Tuswa has silently closed the door of life and departed from his family both Nshele and King Hintsa family. The college will be poor without him, and the lives he had touched as a person and as an employee will be empty.

Albert Einstein said, “The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.” In one word, Mr Tuswa was a man who gave. He gave much to his work. We would like to speak in celebration of his life. He was a life that demand notice….a life that exemplified brilliance…a life that inspired emulation…a life that burned so that others’ paths were lit.

The Tuswa family is in our thoughts and prayers during this time, we are thinking and wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain. He will be remembered for his love, care and compassion . He loved his wife, children and the entire Tuswa Family dearly.

May His Soul Rest In Peace And Rise In Glory
