The 2024 Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Month Roadshow embarked on by marketing officials from eight Eastern Cape (EC) TVET Colleges, concluded today with the regional rounds of the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Competition.

Clubbing up for charity

In the quest to live up to its core values of Ubuntu and Sustainable partnerships, King Hintsa TVET College participated in the inaugural TVETCGC Charity Golf Day. This prestigious event was held at the Irene Country Club, Centurion on the 1st December 2023.

Rainbow Picnic

The Wellness Office rolled out Rainbow Picnics around King Hintsa TVET College sites. The overall purpose of the Rainbow Picnic Awareness is to educate employees on mental health risks and challenges faced by people in our communities, workplace due to having mental health issues.

King Hintsa TVET College 2023 Graduation

King Hintsa TVET College hosted its Annual Graduation and certification ceremony on the 14th September 2023 at Dutywa Campus. This year’s event was a culmination of planning, effort and dedication that the college management and staff has put in order to ensure that students who have completed their courses are acknowledged.

Inter-College Regional Entrepreneurship Competition

On Friday 18 August 2023,King Hintsa TVET College successfully hosted the Students Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition Regional Rounds where students from across eight (8) Eastern Cape TVET Colleges including King Hintsa participated.

Akhona Makhalima appointed by FIFA

King Hintsa TVET College" the institution located geographically in a rural setup of the Eastern Cape has had one of its alumnae "Akhona Makhalima" being appointed by FIFA to be a referee official in the 2023 Women's World Cup hosted by Australia-New Zealand.

Inter-college Entrepreneurship Competition

On Thursday 20th July, the college hosted an Inter-College Student Entrepreneurship competition at the Lilitha Guest Lodge, Butterworth. The event is part of promoting the DHET mandate to TVET College as indicated on the SSS Plan for entrepreneurship to be promoted amongst TVET learners.

Wednesday, 22 February 2023 marked a historic event for our local communities as King Hintsa TVET College Walter Sisulu University and Mnquma Local Municipality renewed their vows in what would be deemed a tri-party marriage.
