Inter-College Regional Entrepreneurship Competition

On Friday 18 August 2023,King Hintsa TVET College successfully hosted the Students Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition Regional Rounds where students from across eight (8) Eastern Cape TVET Colleges including King Hintsa participated.

Akhona Makhalima appointed by FIFA

King Hintsa TVET College" the institution located geographically in a rural setup of the Eastern Cape has had one of its alumnae "Akhona Makhalima" being appointed by FIFA to be a referee official in the 2023 Women's World Cup hosted by Australia-New Zealand.

Inter-college Entrepreneurship Competition

On Thursday 20th July, the college hosted an Inter-College Student Entrepreneurship competition at the Lilitha Guest Lodge, Butterworth. The event is part of promoting the DHET mandate to TVET College as indicated on the SSS Plan for entrepreneurship to be promoted amongst TVET learners.

Wednesday, 22 February 2023 marked a historic event for our local communities as King Hintsa TVET College Walter Sisulu University and Mnquma Local Municipality renewed their vows in what would be deemed a tri-party marriage.

A word from the Principal’s office

It is with great pleasure to announce that the College’s Audit Opinion has improved from the Qualified to Unqualified Opinion for the Financial Year 2021. The audit was conducted by the Auditor General of South Africa as per the Continuing Education and Training Act of 2006 and Treasury Regulations.

The purpose of the day was to say “Enough is Enough” against Gender Based Violence. What brought the idea in light was triggered by the recent incident of a female student from Fort Hare University.
