2023 Welcome Note

Let me take this opportunity to wish the entire community of king Hintsa TVET College (staff and students) a very happy and fulfilling 2023 academic year.

In 2022 we were able to finally break many grounds in our quest to ensure that our College is amongst the best institutions of learning in the TVET space, this included the College achieving a historic unqualified Audit outcome for the first time in many years. It is my firm belief that 2023 will be a year of opportunities as we look forward to making greater strides and breaking new grounds as the College. The support and cooperation of management and staff towards the continuous growth and advancement of the College are highly commended and appreciated. I want to also use this opportunity to invite management and staff at the College to approach 2023 academic year with the same sense of innovative, diligence and determination in order to maintain the current level of excellence in service and teaching (which is core business.)

This year we will focus on the finalisation of bulk infrastructure projects, ensuring that we continue to improve the working conditions of our staff and enhance the learning experience of students through the state of art facilities that are in line with acceptable industry norms and standards. We will intensify our drive to ensure that our curriculum offering in line with the skills needs of our province of the Eastern Cape, Mbashe, Mnquma Municipalities and the business sector.

To our retuning students welcome back, last year like the previous two years (2020 and 2022) was the most challenging but exciting year for any College student as many of you were on campus without Covid-19 lockdown disruptions for the first time, you have succeeded in the midst of and in spike of all the challenges. Now it is the time to focus and finish what you have started.

To our new students who join the College for the first time, I wish to lay the red carpet and say: Welcome to this prestige College! Remember that you have joined the long list of privileged young people in our Country who have been given the opportunity to enrol in our TVET education system please do not take this privilege for granted. Let me also assure you that our staff and management have put in place adequate measures to make your stay at the College safe and pleasurable. We have infrastructure and team of dedicated staff who are always willing to help to make your life on our campus memorable.

Welcome back and all the best in the year 2023
