Home Of Gallants Successfully Hosts Inter-College Regional Entrepreneurship Competition

On Friday 18 August 2023,King Hintsa TVET College successfully hosted the Students Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition Regional Rounds where students from across eight (8) Eastern Cape TVET Colleges including King Hintsa participated. This prestigious program sponsored by Allan Grey Makers, was blessed with the presence of our stakeholders and partners in the form of Mnquma LM, Mbhashe LM, SAYC and ECSECC, we wish that their support would be felt in all aspects of our developmental agenda.

The event was held under the theme “challenge today and change tomorrow” this cutting edge slogan seeks to cut deep to the minds of the students who were participating in that event and is a phrase that works as a paragon of hope to the mostly destitute of our mother land, that the obstacles they are facing today must be challenged head on in order to change the future.

That is an idea we want to inculcate to our students as we are a factory of knowledge production. “There is no doubt that we are living in a knowledge era of human history. Knowledge societies and knowledge economies are the main characteristics of the knowledge era but more importantly is the knowledge mindset of an individual” that is what we seek to achieve as the microcosm of the society.

Raising an innovation capability, King Hintsa TVET College will actively participate in the future programs of entrepreneurship so to can drive a positive narrative that students from this sector are capable beings who through their creativity are demonstrating intellectualism.

King Hintsa TVET College is proud to announce that one of its participants Lindokuhle Makade won the first spots on the ‘I have a business idea’ category. This win is after a very intense process that was established by the College Entrepreneurial Team and is to be highly recognised and be celebrated.

Now King Hintsa TVET College will be representing Eastern Cape Colleges on the ‘I have a business idea’ category to the national level, this we must pride ourselves with, not only because we won but because we are active participants to the transformational agenda of the province, sector and the entire country.

Mihle Mgqalelo, Asivuyina Phendu and Ayaphila Mdidana are our student participants who formed part of the competition, these are students who are playing and will continue to play the ambassadorial role of the Entrepreneurship in our College, their enthuse in this program is incomparable, and they will continue to participate in the competition. We wish them

The home of Gallants once more bows down to the entire community of Amathole and the entire province.

Challenge today and change tomorrow.
